American Technology Corporation (ATC) (NASDAQ: ATCO) is based in San Diego, California. It focuses on development of sound from ultrasound technology. The company's stock trades on the NASDAQ Capital Market with the ticker symbol "ATCO."

ATC was by founded by inventor/entrepreneur Elwood "Woody" Norris as a Utah corporation in 1980 (entity # 734088-0142).[1] From 1988 to early 1992 the Company was inactive. Norris recapitalized ATC as a Delaware Corporation in 1992.[2]

- HyperSonic Sound (HSS) technology which uses ultrasonic energy to focus sound to the intended listener and nowhere else.
- NeoPlanar and SoundSaber products which put out an intelligible column of sound and are used in outdoor and in-building mass communication systems.
- Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) which is a high-intensity directional acoustic array designed for long-range communication and unmistakable warning.[3]
