American Beauty is a 1999 soundtrack album to the film of the same name starring Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening. The soundtrack features two excerpts from the film's score, composed by Thomas Newman.

The album won the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music and the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or other Visual Media. It was also nominated for the Academy (lost to the score of Le violon rouge) and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
