Amedeo D'Angelo

Amedeo D'Angelo is a businessman who has worked in software companies. D'Angelo was previously in charge of various roles in the semiconductor industry, became European Director of Samsung Semiconductor in 1986.
From 1991 till end 1994 he was President of Gemplus International, now a major company in the smart card industry.
In January 1995 he co-founded and was CEO of Incard, which specialized in the Smart Cards and security systems development. From 1997 to 1999 he was Managing Director of De La Rue Smart Card division in Paris.
From 1999 to end 2002, he was Chief Operating Officer of Oberthur Card Systems, another smart card company. He led the I.P.O. of Oberthur Card Systems to the Paris stock exchange.
He is currently the chairman of Young Generation. He is also chairman of Aspects Software in Scotland. Amedeo D’Angelo is a board member of Ingenico, a major point of sale payment terminal manufacturer (quoted at the Paris Stock exchange). From May 2005 Amedeo d'Angelo was CEO of Ingenico but departed suddenly and without explanation in July 2007.
