The Amedee Lighthouse or "Le Phare Amédée" (GPS coordinates: 22°28,5S 166°27,9E) is a lighthouse located on Amedee Island, New Caledonia. It is 140 years old and, at 56 meters tall, it is the second highest lighthouse in the world. It was originally built in France by Napoleon III, but was later transported to New Caledonia. It is now a very popular tourist attraction there.
