This article really needs a rewrite & cleanup, but I know next to nothing about the architecture so I don't feel that I'm competent to do it. It starts out OK, but then the section on the successor families drops in quality very quickly. This is marked by the increase in consistently repeated spelling mistakes - "preforming" for "performing", "microcontroler" for "microcontroller" and so on.
