Amby McConnell

Amby McConnell (April 29, 1883 - May 20, 1942). Ambrose Moses McConnell, born in North Pownal, Vermont, was a professional baseball player for Boston Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox. He played in 392 games over 4 seasons and hit .264 from 1908-1911. His one claim to fame is he hit in to the first unassisted triple play on July 19, 1909. He attended Beloit College. He died in Utica, New York.
