Ambit Broadband are a Taiwanese supplier of broadband Internet equipment including cable modems, ADSL modems, VoIP[1] IPTV etc. to major ISPs and MSOs including Virgin Media in the UK, Time Warner in the US, UPC in Europe, and Yahoo in the Far East.[2]

Ambit boasts a customer list which includes the majority of tier one Cable Operators worldwide. Approximately half of Ambit’s revenue is generated in the Americas from a diverse line of consumer and commercial CPE. Ambit’s success has been mainly attributed to consistent customer-focused initiatives. Installer friendly products, consistent on-time delivery, excellent support and customization of products with short time-to-market availability have differentiated Ambit from their larger competitors. Ambit has gained a reputation amongst it's clients for providing the “small guy” touch.
In 2007 Yuan-Hao Lin became the CEO of Ambit Worldwide. Dr. Lin, a Yale graduate and former Nortel Executive, is a strong believer that a company’s strength is derived from customer service and product differentiation. This directive became a key turning point for Ambit. Traditionally recognized as a producer of commodity based products, Ambit has now become a partner to the major MSOs on newer technology based products such as Channel Bonded modems, Fixed Mobile Convergence phones, multi-line eMTAs and Media Gateways to name a few. Today, Ambit is the first and the largest shipper of Channel Bonded modems worldwide. Ambit's product portfolio will continue to expand in the areas of data, voice, video and wireless CPE.
