Amari
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Amari is a province on the island of Crete in Greece.[1] Much of the history of Crete took place near the Psiloriti Range within Amari. One of the major geographic features of Amari is the Amari Valley, a landform of high elevation known for olive cultivation.[2] It is thought that Monastiraki was developed by Phaistos inhabitants founding a satellite center as they pushed out into the Amari Valley.[3]
