Amalgaon is a averaged sized village on the north side of Amalner. It has primary health center, telephone exchange tower. This village has educational facilities upto 12th grade. Population is around 6,000 ( as of 2008). There is a Chikhali river flowing around the south west part of the village.People in this village speak Ahirani, Marathi, Hindi langauges. Amlagon has a active Gram Panchayat. People in this village are very active in political activities. Amalgaon's zipcode is 425 420. Telephone area code is 02587. 90% people do farming. There are lot of other small businesses which are closely related to farming.
