Alyson Kennedy is an American politician, a member of the Socialist Workers Party and the party's candidate for U.S. vice president in the 2008 presidential election.
Originally from Indianapolis, Kennedy joined the socialist movement in 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky. She has worked in coal mines in Alabama, Colorado, Utah, and West Virginia. She first joined the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) in 1981. Kennedy is currently employed as a garment worker.
