Alwaysneverlie - an Indie band based of the Midwest telling stories of life, love, betrayal, and honesty --with/of a lover, friend, stranger, mentor, and faith. We believe that the most important thing to succeed in life is to have passion in your work and to live being completely honest to one’s self.

Influences include Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service), Howie Day, Damien Rice, Ryan Adams, Coldplay, Conor Oberst, Margot and Nuclear So and So’s, and many other alternative, pop rock/pop punk/indie rock bands of the 80’s, 90’s, and today, with a non-conforming guitar style, and unique distinguishable vocals

The music posted on myspace gets updated regularly with new (possibly refined)versions, new original songs, and sometimes even laughable tracks of covers, etc... This is done to:

1. show the evolution of developing/sharpening a song
2. to keep the artist as human to the listener/fans
3. to keep the attention of those passer-bys who may just get 30 seconds to connect to our message.

Two main band members: Matt/me : songwriter, music creator, guitar/vocals, synth, & amateur producer
Billy: Matt's lifelong friend and guitarist & vocal support
