Alverca do Ribatejo (pron. IPA: [aɫ'vɛɾkɐ du ʁibɐ'tɛʒu]) is a parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira in Portugal. It covers an area of 17.89 km² and had a population of 29,086 as of 2001. Alverca is the home city of Gonçalo Pontes, worldwide known as G.P., worldbreaker and the creator of remarkable expressions like "PIPIPIPI!" or "Caramillos con Piñones!". He is also well-know for his high pitch vocals and his love for breakdance and "Curtir a Life".
