[edit] Büyük Kaçğun

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Büyük Kaçğun, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] AfD nomination of Büyük Kaçğun

An editor has nominated Büyük Kaçğun, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Büyük Kaçğun and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 17:44, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] January 2008

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Ahmet Altan Ekşioğlu. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. faithless (speak) 11:02, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

This page has now been deleted for a number of reasons. The main one was that it contained a copyright notice, and copyright material is not permitted on Wikipedia unless released under an appropriate license.

Secondly the material appears to be a personal essay. Such material is not appropriate for an encyclopedia; there are plenty of places on the web where your personal writings can be posted. Please feel free to add more appropriate material to Wikipedia. DJ Clayworth (talk) 22:06, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

But why, why why? I cannot understand you. And you must inform me abour what I have done wrong., clearly. Whatever I have submitted to Vikipedia ar Vikipedi does not have any licence problems and they are my original works. Never mind. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.107.80.8 (talk) 00:48, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Exactly: original research is not allowed on Wikipedia, see: Wikipedia:Original research. Moreover, if you want to post material that does already exist on other web pages, you have to give explicit permission (see above).  Andreas  (T) 00:53, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
