[edit] End of Northeast
By the early 1970's, Northeast Airlines was having many finantial problems and merged with Delta Air Lines on August 1st, 1972. At first the Northeast planes kept their same paint schemes with delta stickers on their noses. Later, however Northeast's planes were fully repainted in Delta colors and used by Delta airlines.
