Description

The Alps from La Guarda, Loiano, Bologna, as seen from a distance of 250-300 Km., on December 30th 2000 afternoon during a crazy clear day. You can see from the mountains of Sondrio (close to Monte Adone on the left) to Cima Dodici (close to the church of Livergano on the very right side. 185 digital Camedia shots through a big Swarovski. About 3 hours to take the pictures and 4 days of work to put them together. When we tried to get a paper version of this Guinness World Records photograph we obtained a 14 meters large printout. Here a few technical notes on the difficulties in taking this picture with a telescope in 2000 (hence its 'grainy' nature): [1]
