Allen Bonshaca Lamont Rossum (pronounced /ROSS-um/) (born October 22, 1975 in Dallas, Texas) is a American football cornerback and return specialist for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame.

He came to Pittsburgh in a September 1, 2007 trade with the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a late round draft pick. He was the primary kick and punt returner for the Steelers. He owns the Falcons team record for career punt return yards. He previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, and was drafted by Philadelphia in the 3rd round (85th overall pick) of the 1998 NFL Draft out of University of Notre Dame. Rossum won the NFL's "fastest man" competition at the 2005 Pro Bowl, where he also made his first appearance for the NFC squad as a kick returner, replacing injured Eddie Drummond. In a 2004 postseason win over the St.Louis Rams, Rossum set a playoff record with 152 punt return yards on just 3 returns, an average of 50.7 yards per return. On February 22, 2008, Rossum was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers.[1] He signed with the San Francisco 49ers on February 29.[2]
