Allan Ruthven

Allan Ruthven (16 April 1922–14 March 2003) was an Australian rules footballer in the (then) Victorian Football League.

A left-footed rover nicknamed the ‘Baron’, he also coached Fitzroy Football Club.
In 1998 Ruthven was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.[1][2]

On 14 March 2003, 33 days short of his 81st birthday, Ruthven died after suffering a stroke at Wangaratta Hospital. He was burried at St Brigid's Catholic Church, Mulwala.[6]
