Alice Hext was born around 1865, as Alice Petherick.

She married Charles Hawkins Hext in the second quarter of 1891 in Kensington. Charles Hawkins Hext was born around 1852 and was a member of the Hext family of Trenarren, near St. Austell. ===Vernon White (talk) 18:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Heads of House: Ellen L. Sharpe, Widow and Elizabeth D. Beckhouse (or Backhouse) Spinster both Schoolmistress (Partners)

A German teacher, a French teacher and 20 female boarding scholars and three domestic servants. Among the scholars listed are Alice (16) and Florence (12) Petherick, both born in St. Austell.

1891 Census RG12 Civil Parish: Kensington. Street: Bramham Gardens House No.: 2

Head: Emily Petherick (Widow)

Alice (Daughter) 26, Florence (Daughter) 22, Margaret Barrett (Daughter) 33, James Barrett (Son-in-Law) Emily (Granddaughter) 9, Elizabeth Hext (Visitor) 35 and seven domestic servants. All were born in Cornwall, except Mr. Barrett and one domestic, both born in Coniston, Lancashire.
