Alijan Ibragimov

Alijan Ibragimov (also known as Alidjan or Alidzhon Ibragimov) is a Kyrgyzstan-born Uzbek oligarch who is a member of a well-known circle of oligarchs in Kazakhstan known as the “Trio.” The “Trio” comprises Ibragimov and his business partners, Alexander Mashkevich and Patokh Chodiev, active in the mining, oil & gas, and banking sectors in Kazakhstan. Ibragimov has been ranked #382 on Forbes’ list of world billionaires.

Ibragimov is a co-owner, along with Chodiev and Mashkevich, of Eurasian National Resources Corporation (ENRC), a large Swiss-based mining and metals group, which operates a number of metals assets in Kazakhstan. Last year, ENRC generated an $800 million profit on sales of $2.9 billion. According to a 2006 Forbes magazine report [1], ENRC is slated for a 2007 London AIM initial public offering. [2]
