Aliens Act 1826

The Aliens Act 1826 required immigrants to advise the Secretary of State or the Chief Secretary of Ireland of their residence twice a year.
It affected different groups of visitors to Great Britain and Ireland including those from the Caribbean, South Asia and Jews. It also affected the Irish community of Britain.
