[edit] User talk page warnings

I noticed that you've been countering the vandalous edits by 210.74.156.131, but haven't issued them any warnings (I issued one for the 2/12/05 edit). You can get those here. Sometimes it stops vandals, but if not, provides a threshold that can justify blocking them if need be if they vandalize past a final warning, when you would report them here for administrative action. Responding to the person who left you a message on their talk page is fine because like you said, if you responded here I might not have seen it unless I checked back.
