Talk:Alfred State College

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We should reduce the interal contraversy, and more content on student life. we dont need half the article on Gupta. Also, what does anyone think about putting the degree list in a seperate article. For clerification, check out what the "my name is earl" wiki did.

I agree, less on Gupta and more on student life. I can probably expand on it once I actually get there :) --lightdarkness (talk) 21:19, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Revisions

I've undertaken a significant amount of revision work over the past few months and I would like to thank all of the people who have helped along the way, and who have provided such an excellent page to start off with. AcriAL 04:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Why is the fact that ASC students can cross register at AU relevant enough to be placed nearly at the top of this page? What person edits this crap? It's laden with irrelevant and/or poorly placed information. Why can't this page discuss more about the college's history development and less about esoteric nonsense like Hot Dog Day and Greek Life?

AU cross-registration is a unique part of our college that ought to be showcased, especially as we are lacking in Liberal Arts class offerings, and AU classes help to fill the balance for a number of ASC students. As for "history development" sic, please feel free to add additional content. Hot Dog Day is our annual festival and will elicit more hits possibly, especially by linking through the hot dog day wiki, as well as Greek Life. Greek Life continues to be the biggest source of community service and activism, allowing the college to carry on many important events. AcriAL 18:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AStatelogo.jpg

Image:AStatelogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
