AJ first married Muriel Moore and had his three children, Alfred, David and Martha with her. AJ was remarried to Majorie Kitchen who was the widowed mother in law of his son, Alfred William. AJ and Marjorie started to court after AJ, the widower, moved into the home of his son Alfred.
