Alfadanga is located at 23.2833° N 89.7167° E . It has 16579 units of house hold and total area 136 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Alfadanga has a population of 90873. Males constitute are 49.83% of the population, and females 50.17%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 43335. Alfadanga has an average literacy rate of 32.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
