From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alf Patchell was an Irish soccer player during the late 1940s and early 1950s in the League of Ireland.

Patchell was a centre half whose career was cut short by injury. He joined Bohemians in 1949 and was made club captain for 1950/51 season. He suffered a career injury and had to retire after 36 appearances for Bohs (in all competitions). His only goal for Bohs came in a 5-5 draw with Shelbourne in November 1949.
