Rules explained:

• The points threshold is currently set at 19
• Each line is a 'rule'
• A points total is accumulated for each article. If this total equals or exceeds 14 then it is logged as a match and the article is added to the new article list
• strings are regexp case-insentive
• 2nd and subsequent strings are 'except' values
• the number before each rule shows the points for a positive match
• if the rule matches inside the article's lead section, points are doubled
