[edit] Supports for Alcatraz Crossing?

Couldn't find any record of Tourk swimming Alcatraz in any triathlon or organized swim and the only company doing tours, Pedro Ordenes with Water World doesn't list him as a sucessful crosser. Its not legal or possible to do this without a guide boat, and I think this is just urban lore. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.232.222.5 (talk) 06:35, 14 March 2007 (UTC).

Well, as best I can recall he did the swim after a politician did his swim when he turned fifty. As I recall he is mentioned in one of the log entries but for some unknown reason I could not access the record. As I can recall the fifty year old might have had a better time, but that one is an obsessive swimmer/sportsman (of course that one got press coverage where his did not). I will go over and try again. PEACETalkAbout 23:03, 21 March 2007 (UTC)-

==> That really isn't adequate qualification as a reference or support for Wikipedia's guidelines of biographies of living people. Coast Guard also keeps radio logs of all crossing attempts by date, and Alcatraz is a harrowing swim only for expert swimmers. This bit of trivia should be removed.
