Talk:Alex Campbell (singer)

[edit] Overall tone
The article is full of POV and peacock words, and generally needs a cleanup - Tiswas(t/c) 14:40, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
All three peacock phrases have been removed. This is an unwinnable game. If I say a singer is rubbish, and the article contains no praise, then it gets deleted by the powers that be, as "non-notable". On the other hand, if I say he is good, I am accused of using peacock phrases. I have seem far worse phraseology than this. Try reading the "Spiers and Boden" article, or the "Susan MacKeown" article. Talk about purple prose! Ogg 18:54, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Notability is no measure of whether a singer is good or bad - You don't have to be the best to be notable - just look at articles on various reality tv singers for examples of pitifuly bad, yet notable, artists. It's not a question of whether you consider an artist to be good or bad, but whether you can cite reliable sources that do. As far as prosaic articles go, I try and make a point, time permitting, of being bold and rewording them into more encyclopedic form. - Tiswas(t/c) 19:21, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] alex campbell (singer)
There is a significant aspect of Alex Campbell's career that is omitted in this article. I would like to communicate with the person responsible for the bulk of the piece, to determine whether this omission can be covered. Can you tell me how to go about this?
