"Bara" or "Alebara" is one of the best known artists and furniture designers in Guatemala. Her designs vary from characters to furniture, covering wide range of materials and techniques. In Guatemala, art is not supported as some artists would like, this is why Bara has had to exhibit her work abroad like Norway and New York. As part of her furniture design career Bara (Alejandra Barahona) now recides in New York where she expresses herself freely and can gain recognition for her talent.
