Alexis Javier Ferrero (born March 31, 1979 in Calchaquí) is an Argentine football defender currently playing for Botafogo.
Ferrero started his professional career with Ferro Carril Oeste, he played for them in the lower leagues of Argentine football until 2003 when he joined Club Atlético Atlanta of the 3rd division.
In 2005 Ferrero joined Tigre and in 2007 he helped them to gain promotion to the Argentine Primera. The Apertura 2007 was Tigre's first season in the Primera since 1980, Ferrero played in all 19 games helping the club to finish in 2nd place, the highest league finish in their history.
For 2008, Ferrero moved to Botafogo.[1]
