The Alexandria Wind Jammers are a team of the American Basketball Association scheduled to begin play in 2008.[1] Based in Alexandria, Virginia, it is made up of players from the Asian country of Mongolia.[citation needed] The team was previously known as Alexandria United, but they changed their name as a courtesy to D.C. United of Major League Soccer (Alexandria City borders Washington).
