Alexandre Baptista

José Alexandre da Silva Baptista (born Barreiro, 17 February 1942) was a Portuguese footballer.
He played as a central-deffender for Sporting Lisbon, were he won several titles of National Champion and the Cup of Portugal. He also played at the team that won the Cup of the Cups final, in 1964, defeating MTK Budapest by 1-0, in a second game.
He had 11 caps for Portugal National Team, from the 1-1 tie with England, at 4 June 1964, in a friendly match, held in São Paulo, Brazil, to the 0-1 loss to Romania, in 12 October 1969, in Bucharest, for the World Cup qualifyings.
