He was married on 22 June 2002 to Dr Claire Booth in the Queen's Chapel, St. James's Palace, London.

Lord Ulster was commissioned into the King's Royal Hussars in 1995 and has been a Captain since 2000; he saw active service in Kosovo in 2002 and it has recently been reported that his regiment will be deployed to Iraq. Lord Ulster has been even more rarely in the public eye than his two sisters, Lady Davina Lewis and Lady Rose Windsor.
