Alexander Wong was born in Hong Kong in the 1960’s. He studied in England and graduated from Princeton University, USA before returning to Asia in the early 90’s. In 2001, he created 2 innovative and multi-disciplinary firms, Asiacity Architects and Jidou Limited, thus is becoming recognized by the public as a celebrated all-in-one entrepreneur, international architect, branding pioneer, and media guru. From his outstanding educational background to his more recent projects in architecture and digital entertainment, Wong has never failed to surprise anyone as an absolute original at any point in his career.

Prior to founding his award-winning and multi-disciplinary firm Asiacity Architects in 2001, Wong worked for 8 years in project management handling large-scale residential / commercial projects for two of the largest real estate developers in Hong Kong. Through Asiacity Architects, he has become one of the most well-known and sought after architects and design gurus in Hong Kong whilst gaining international recognition through his branding enterprises as well as garnering many prestigious awards which include the Ten Outstanding Designers Award (2007), the HKIA 20:21 Emerging Hong Kong Architects Award (2004), HKIA Award (2005) for his design of a major industrial project in China, and Merit Award for the Hong Kong Design Institute International Architectural Competition (2007) as one of the top 5 finalists from 162 entries worldwide - the only top finalist representing Hong Kong, China. Wong is also a well-known and original writer in design, cinema and architecture, with his countless articles published in magazines all across Asia. His publication in 2005 of Naked + White has drawn critical acclaim in Hong Kong and London.

Following his success with the introduction of Jidougames, the animation series on 3G mobile platform in 2004, Wong was able to sign Jidougames with Hong Kong Cable TV in the summer of 2006, thus making history in Hong Kong’s independent TV animation. This was soon followed by the winning of the Digital Entertainment (Digital Animation) Feature Film Gold Award in the HKICT (Information, Communications & Technology) Awards in November 2006. In the same month, Jidougames signed with GMA7, one of the largest terrestrial TV networks in The Philippines, making yet another truly significant break-through in the history of Hong Kong’s digital entertainment industry. All these remarkable milestones have established Wong as a major force in digital entertainment, encouraging him to explore other genres of animation, including the creation of The Freuds 2012 and other animation.
