Alexander Joseph Brunett

Alexander Joseph Brunett (born January 17, 1934) is the current archbishop of Seattle.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond and Cecilia (Gill) Brunett. He went to the University of Detroit, and was ordained a priest on July 13, 1958, in Rome by Luigi Cardinal Traglia.
Brunett was named bishop of the Diocese of Helena in 1994, and was appointed Archbishop of Seattle on October 28, 1997. He succeeded Thomas J. Murphy, who had succumbed to cancer earlier that year.
