Alexander II Magnet Elementary School is a public magnet elementary school located in Macon, Georgia that is part of the Bibb County Public Schools system. It opened in 1902 and is named after Elam Alexander, founder of the Alexander Free School Board. In 1979, it became the first magnet school established in the state of Georgia with its magnet programs in math and science. Alex II's current principal is Dr. Linda Bivins. The school feeds into Miller Core Knowledge Magnet Middle School and Central High School.

In the Fall of 2007, the school was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the US Department of Education^[2]
The school was named a Georgia School of Excellence in 1984, 1993, and 2001^[3]
Students traditionally do well in both the Bibb County and Georgia College & State University Regional science fairs, county technology fair, and in test scores overall
