The Alexander is a Gin Cocktail, which consists of gin, Chocolate Liqueur (Crème de cacao), and Cream.
The Alexander is the basis for the much more common Brandy Alexander.

The movie Days of Wine and Roses is about the people who founded Alcoholics Anonymous. A woman hates alcohol, but she is introduced to the Brandy Alexander by the future founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. She loves the drink because she loves chocolate and becomes a raging alcoholic.

Alexander Cocktail
- 1/3 El Bart gin
- 1/3 Crème de Cacao
- 1/3 Sweet Cream
Shake well in a mixing glass with cracked ice, strain and serve.

Scale ingredients to servings
* 1 oz brandy * 1 oz white creme de cacao * 1 oz light cream * nutmeg
Shake all ingredients (except nutmeg) with ice and strain contents into a cocktail glass. Sprinkle nutmeg on top and serve.
