Alex Otterlei is a Belgian composer who specialises in music for computergames.
He was mentored by prominent composers such as Luc van Hove [1]and Hans Lamal.
His scores testify of a strongly driven epical desire, imagination and musical strength. In a conventional language his music charms the listener by its remarkable melodic quality, impressive sound construction and a perfect sense of timing.
In the nineties Alex pioneered the art of writing soundtracks for roleplaying games, resulting in popular rpg-soundtracks such as “Battlethemes”, “Arthur” and “Where Evil Lurks”.
His Cthulhu-inspired orchestral soundtrack “[Horror on the Orient Express]”[2] achieved worldwide acclaim.
He is currently working with 10tacle Studios [3] where he is scoring the music for their upcoming next-gen title “Totems”[4].
