Alejandro Végh Villegas

Alejandro Végh Villegas (1928-) is a Uruguayan political figure.

He has been a prominent business leader in Uruguay. His father, Carlos Végh Garzón, was Economy Minister in 1967.

He served as Economy Minister of Uruguay from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1982 to 1985[1] .

In between these periods of office, he also served as Uruguayan Ambassador to the United States
