i basically plaigarized a chunk from the web site i referenced in the External links section, just to get this thing rolling. its a great site with lots of info, but i guess i (or whoever) should do some further research to doublecheck facts (i mean, the page listed things like NE Mississippi street, which is really N, so who knows?) and generally reword things and such. include things like the demographics (germans, russians, scandanavians; shipbuilders, etc) blah blah. i would like to find the issue of nosedive zine about albina, too... to add stuff from there.
