Alberta Film Ratings
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alberta Film Ratings is a motion picture rating system administered by the Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Recreation and Culture of the Canadian province of Alberta, used to regulate theatrical showings of motion pictures. The Canadian territories Nunavut and the Northwest Territories also use these ratings.
Motion pictures are rated and regulated in Canada at the provincial level, and home videos are rated by the Canadian Home Video Rating System. Television broadcasts of motion pictures are regulated by the federal government through the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
