Albert Fry

Albert Fry (1830?–1903) was a businessman and a member of the influential Fry family. Fry was the owner of the Bristol Wagon & Carriage Works Company Ltd which he acquired in 1851.[1] He was important in the development of the drainage plow.[2]

Today his name is associated with the University of Bristol because of his influence in the founding of the organization. One of the towers of a University building is known as the Fry tower.[3]
