Events about Albania's National Team during 2008

• January 4- Arie Haan is officially presented as Albanian coach for the next two years by the president of Albania's national football team.
• January 9- Haan's delegates name a 24 man team for a 10 day tryout with mostly Albanian Superliga players who are given a chance to show what they got to give for their country.
• January 14- The selected team heads to Antalia, Turkey, where they will show themselves to the newly crowned Albanian coach Arie Haan.
• January 23- The tryouts are almost over and Haan has made his wish list. He announced that he like 5 players from the team. He will probably call them to the two friendlies scheduled in March against Moldavia and Saudi Arabia.
