Alan Harris Nevas

Alan Harris Nevas (b. 1928, Norwalk, CT) is a Federal Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He has served on the court from 1985 to the present. Judge Nevas was nominated to the court by Ronald Reagan on September 9, 1985, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333, confirmed by the Senate on October 16, 1985, and received his commission on October 17, 1985. He assumed senior status on March 27, 1997.

Judge Nevas was a member of the Connecticut General Assembly from 1971-1977, and served as U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut from 1981-1985. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and New York University School of Law.
