Alan Anderson (Australian politician)

Alan Anderson is a right-wing political advisor and activist, based in Melbourne, Australia.

Anderson was first noted as a bold political activist and commentator after publishing his online blog "The View From The Right". Later he became the author of the Sydney Morning Herald 2004 Federal Election column "The Razor" and wrote a series of opinion pieces in Australian newspapers and journals. One focus has been his opposition to the introduction of an Australian Bill of Rights.

In 2006, Anderson began his professional political career as Advisor for Courts and the Judiciary, Tribunals and Family Law to Australian Attorney-General Philip Ruddock. Later in 2006, he transferred to the position of Senior Advisor for Tax to Treasurer Peter Costello.
