Alain Trudel

Alain Trudel (born Montreal Quebec 13 Jun 1966) is a Canadian musician, composer and conductor. He started his career playing the trombone, but has more recently turned to conducting.

The Paris music review Le Monde de la Musique has called Trudel "The Jascha Heifetz of the trombone" for his skill with that instrument.

Trudel is currently Principal Conductor of the CBC Radio Orchestra based in Vancouver. He is also the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra Artistic Advisor for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. He also conducts the Orchestre Symphonique de Laval.

Alain Trudel was unanimously named Conductor of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2004.
