Al Moran (shortstop)

Richard Alan Moran (born December 5, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan) is a former shortstop in Major League Baseball who played for the New York Mets in 1963 and 1964. He attended Detroit Catholic Central High School. He began his career being part of the Boston Red Sox. He was traded to the Mets along with Pumpsie Green and Tracy Stallard in exchange for Felix Mantilla. He ended with a career batting average of .195.
