Al Ewing is a British comic writer who has mainly worked in the small press and for 2000 AD.

He is the creator of The Ultimate Future Shock and periodic contributor to the comic's Terror Tales and Future Shorts series, variations on their classic Future Shocks format. Ewing's work appeared in the 2000AD Winter Special 2005, a compendium of up and coming British comics creators. Recent work includes the 3-part Go-Machine serial, Tempest, his first series for the Judge Dredd Megazine, and Dead Signal, illustrated by P. J. Holden, which is currently running in 2000AD.
He has also contributed to Solar Wind, FutureQuake and The End Is Nigh. Al is also responsible for the diary of Ralph Dibny.
Al's debut novel was published in 2007 by Abaddon Books. Pax Britannia: El Sombra features a mysterious Mexican hero fighting back against the menace of steam-powered Nazis. It is set in the same steampunk alternate history as the other novels from the Pax Britannia series. A second unrelated novel for Abaddon is forthcoming, with the title I, Zombie.
Al Ewing has deejayed under the name DJ Christ
He currently resides in York.
