Al Conover is a former American football coach. Remembered as a flamboyant character, Conover coached at Rice University from 1972-75, before resigning to enter private business. Conover was 15–27–2 overall in four seasons at Rice. Prior to Rice, Conover had served six seasons as an assistant at Florida State University.
