Al-Shaab (Arabic: الشعب) is a multi-sports club based in Sharjah, one of the northern emirates in U.A.E.. The football team, which we will carry on talking about hereafter, plays at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium. They play in the UAE League. Al Shaab Club never won the UAE League but have won once The President’s Cup in 1993. They have also the won the silver medal in AFC Cup Winner's Cup in 1995.

Al Shaab Club was founded in 1974 and played at the second division league and promoted to the first division league on the same year along with Al-Shabbab Club from Dubai. The football team was relegated twice, in 1992 and 1996, and only spent one season in the second division at both times.

[edit] Rivalry with Sharjah FC
The rivalry between Al Shaab Club and Sharjah FC is legendary. From the start the clubs were seen as representatives of the two Major supported teams in the Emirate of Sharjah. As the two biggest, and most successful clubs in Sharjah Emirate, the rivalry is renewed on an almost annual basis. The flashpoint of this rivalry are the twice-a-season Derby of the smiling Emirate which draw vast audiences from around the U.A.E. Sharjah FC has the upper hand in the history of matches between the two teams. from the beginning of the league to 1985, Al-Shaab never won against Sharjah FC. however, and since 1998 Al Shaab Club has been competing head to head against Sharjah FC. Sharjah FC take the forth place in the league from Al-Shaab in this season.Best Score for Al-Shaab was 5/4 and best score for Sharjah FC was 6/0.
